Anti-vibration mounts combine an elastomer with studs, inserts or plates. Natural rubber, EPDM, nitrile and neoprene may be considered according to temperature, oil, chemical and weather exposure. Final compound and hardness are confirmed for the component duty.

Manufacturing and inspection points

• Metal cleaning, surface preparation and rubber-to-metal bonding
• Dimensional checks for body, plate, hole centres, studs and threads
• Hardness and visual inspection against the approved specification
• Load-deflection testing with agreed direction, conditioning and limits
