How to Select Anti-Vibration Mounts for Machinery
Anti-vibration mounts should be selected from the equipment mass, load distribution, mounting-point layout and operating conditions. A similar-looking mount is not enough to establish suitability.
Information to provide
- Equipment weight and load carried by each mount
- Mounting arrangement, fixing geometry and available height
- Operating speed, start-up conditions and expected deflection
- Temperature, oil, chemicals and outdoor exposure
