How to Select Torque Rod Bushings for Heavy-Duty Suspension

Choosing a torque rod bushing is an engineering decision, not only a size match. The bushing must accommodate suspension movement while resisting high radial, axial and torsional loads.

Selection checklist

Confirm the rod assembly, vehicle axle, sleeve dimensions, working angles, rubber compound, hardness and temperature or contamination exposure. Check whether the design is bonded rubber-to-metal or uses a replaceable insert.

Quality and quotation information

For an accurate quotation, provide a drawing or sample, part number, annual quantity and application. Ask for dimensional inspection, hardness checks and bonding or pull-out test requirements where applicable.
